After the upgrade last night to a possible 6″-9” at higher elevations, the storm under delivered…again. This is the 3rd Tahoe storm in a row to under deliver.
BUT, despite our reports of KT-22 closing for the season yesterday… It stayed open. That’s huge. Another week of KT-22 is a great thing and helps balance out the storm being a dud.
TAHOE STORM SNOW TOTALS:
– Sugar Bowl = 4″
– Mt. Rose = 4″
– Kirkwood = 2″
– Squaw = 2″
– Alpine = 0″
The rest of the week is looking like full on spring. Scratch that. The rest of the week looks like full on summer. Highs in the 60s and nothing but sun.
TAHOE FORECAST:
– Today: Scattered snow showers, mainly before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Breezy, with a north wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
– Tuesday: High 51
– Wednesday: High 62
Full on spring skiing and quick laps on KT for another week is huge.
It’s all about Granite on these days. Might be a few fun turns up there.
I’m starting to let go…
KT for another week. +1 squaw.
