“Three open trails, a jib park, and top-to-bottom skiing if you’re willing to walk a bit at the bottom. The official report from Patrol is that things are “kinda wet but the surface is amazing.” Not too shabby for October.” – Sunday River today
Sunday River, ME opened back up this weekend after being open last weekend and closing during the week this week.ย They’ll continue to be open on weekends until mid-November when they’ll open daily.
SUNDAY RIVER MOUNTAIN REPORT:
Today at Sunday River
Week of October 25, 2015
Three cheers after another weekend of early seasonย skiing and snowboarding, thanks to our amazing snowmakers kicking off the 2015/16 season on October 19. We’ll see you next weekend!
Right now, our next substantial snowmaking window is late this week when we’ll see some very cold temps thatย willย stick around for multiple days. We plan to be open for Halloween but keep your eyes here for updates–we’ll have a better sense of what you can expect come Wednesday or Thursday. We all know from our years ofย experienceย opening super early in the season that plans and conditions can change frequently. We’re right on schedule with our early season operations–skiing and snowboarding over the weekend and doing everything we can during the week to make sure you can come back for more skiing and snowboarding over the weekend. As with other seasons, we’ll be open seven days a week by mid-November when the weather has settled into its winter groove.
Welcome to your happy place.
Team Snow
