When youโre planning a ski trip, you want to go to the resort that will maximize your experience, so Forbes came up with a list of the Top 10 Ski Resorts in North America for 2017. To compare ski resorts, they used something called the Pure Awesomeness Factor-PAF-which is scientifically measured. The PAF takes into account last seasons statistics and experiences, snowfall, ski industry news, and seasonal forecasts. All of this is put into an algorithm and used to calculate each ski resortโs score and then they are ranked accordingly. If youโre planning a ski trip in 2017, you want to take a look at this list.

#1. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort PAF: 99.00

#2. Snowbird PAF: 96.76

#3. Alta Ski Area PAF: 92.05

I have been to Alta Ski and the resort is breathtaking. I am planning to go back soon. Thanks for sharing your list.
I donโt disagree with any of these picks being considered for Top 10 status. Just wondering how California didnโt make the list especially, given the record snowpack this season at Mammoth? Steamboat also comes to mind too.
Its a good looking list but it looks more like a list of Forbes advertisers. Would love to see a list of small quirky resorts with amazing snow, excellent grooming, a good bar and a great atmosphere. Places you can ski and ride without breaking the bank. Places your kids can take off with the local kids and do runs on their own. Places that donโt have lift capacities of 70,000 people per hour.
