Last Friday, Squaw Valley Ski Patrol gave us The Chimney at Squaw. ย It was only open for about 10 minutes but that was enough time for 4 guys to hit the Chimney Sweep and for Josh A to buck up, show everyone up, and hit The Loft.
The Loft is a big air on big snow years and an enormous air in a low snow year like this one.
Josh lined it up, didn’t turn on the upper pad and simply sent it. ย He wheeled around a bit on the landing then charged full speed straight through all the traverse tracks in Chicken Bowl and came out unscathed.
How big was this? ย 50-feet?
Was it the biggest air of the year at Squaw? ย Most likely. ย If it wasn’t, it was still likely the gnarliest thing hit at Squaw this year. ย Props Josh.
yup… about 45′ of exposure so roughly 60′ total takeoff to landing
Give this guy some props! Biggest cajones drop off the year with traverse catacombs tearing at his boards!
DIDN’T ERIC HIT BIGGER??
Oh my god. The run out over the traverse lines is a feat in itself.
