“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends and loved ones of the three employees who were involved in a tragic accident last night. Our mountain family is mourning, yet we are thankful for the two lives that were spared. A painful reminder that the mountains which provide us so much joy, can also cause devastation and grief.โ – Crystal Mountain facebook page
On Wednesday night, 3 Crystal Mountain employees were involved in a rollover automobile accident on a maintenance road at the ski resort. ย No one knew about the accident until morning and the 3 victims spent a cold night out on the mountain. ย Other Crystal Mountain employees discovered and reported the accident on Thursday morning as they were coming in to work. ย All three victims are in their 20s & were not on duty when the accident took place.
Two females and one male were involved in the accident. ย The two boys are food service employees and the girl is a gondola operator. ย Unfortunately, one of the males didnโt survive.
“Crews transported the least injured victim, the woman, down the mountain to State Route 410 and met East Pierce firefighters, who then transported her to a hospital.
Two choppers landed to airlift the two male victims, who have more serious injuries, from the resort as a precaution.โ – kirotv.com

So sad. Dirt roads can be nasty.
