Washington state gets the most snow in North America and maybe the world.  Mt. Baker ski resort holds the world record for most snow with over 1,100 inches of snow in 1997/98.

Ski resorts in Washington state open late due to their bulging snowpacks.  Crystal Mountain ski resort is known to open for the season before Thanksgiving and stay open into July.  Not bad.

Crystal Mountain averages over 480″ of snow per year.  Mt. Baker ski resort averages 655″ of snow per year.   If you like snow, you’ll like Washington state.
