Olympic Valley, Calif. [May 29, 2024]โPalisades Tahoe celebrated its closing day on Memorial Day after a memorable winter season. After a slow start to snow earlier in the season, the winter is closing off with 423 inches of total snowfall. Take a look back on the year:

The Audi FIS Ski World Cup: The Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup returned this year, drawing elite athletes and enthusiastic spectators from around the world. The weekend turned out to be a testament to Palisades Tahoeโs world-class reputation with Stifel U.S. Ski Teamโs River Radamus scoring his first-ever World Cup podium, and thrilling musical performances from The Black Jacket Symphony feat. Marc Martel and Ludacris.
WinterWonderGrass: The 8th Annual WinterWonderGrass festival marked yet another magical weekend of music, brews, and good vibes at Palisades Tahoe. Headliners Sierra Ferrell, The Devil Makes Three, Paul Cauthen, and The Infamous Stringdusters turned the mountains into the best amphitheater, filling the valley with music for three glorious days.
Spring Skiing Capital Events: As the Spring Skiing Capital, Palisades Tahoe not only has Lake Tahoeโs longest ski season, but also has the most iconic events of the region. From Pain McShlonkey, to The Mothership Classic, Snow Golf at Alpine, and the ever-famous Cushing Crossing, this spring was a testament to the legendary fun the resort provides.May Storm: On May 4, 26 inches of powder dropped on Palisades Tahoe, making the season snowfall total round out to 423 inches. On average the mountain sees about 400 inches of snowfall per year. It was the first time in recent history that The National Weather Service in Reno issued a Winter Storm Warning in May. This delighted skiers and riders alike as people flocked to the slopes to take advantage of the rare May powder day.
