No ski resort received more snow in the 2012/13 winter season than Alyeska ski resort in Alaska. 726” is a heck of a lot of snow and we’re confident that they enjoyed every inch of it.
Now that we think of it – Alyeska might not only be #1 in snowfall, but in BBQs, vistas, sunsets, and liftie rock-a-bility as well... (photographic evidence forth coming)
Alyeska ski resort closed out the 2012/13 winter ski season on Sunday, April 28th. It was a good season at Alyeska as they received 726” of snowfall despite a very slow start to the season. They ended the season riding high as big storms came in and buried the resort in many feet of velvety Alaskan snow.
Alyeska was open for 158 days this winter and closed with a base depth of 160” at the top of the resort.
