This was the hardest year for snow conditions statewide that I can remember.
Most of the season was spent scratching it out and making the most of sub ideal conditions. We had several epic days, but on most of them, there were serious stability concerns that kept us limited.
90% of this was filmed in one day in the eastern Chugach. Just goes to show, if you stick it out for long enough and search far enough, AK will deliver at some point.
Also good to know that this is as bad as it gets because it was still pretty dang good.
