At Beaver Creek, guests were treated to signature chocolate chip cookies from morning through afternoon, including the annual Cookie Competition. A live DJ, bloody mary bar and new menu items like the prime rib sandwich kept the celebration going at Spruce Saddle Lodge, with 55 acres of skiing and riding down to the village on Latigo Flats and Gold Dust through Haymeadow Park.
“I could not be more thrilled with my first Opening Day at Beaver Creek, and Iโm especially proud of the entire team that worked tirelessly to create our successful opening. Our guestsโ excitement has been matched only by that of our employees, who were stoked to open for the season! From warm chocolate chip cookies and hot cocoa to start the day, to carving on perfect corduroy, I canโt wait for a season of signature Beaver Creek experiences to come.โ
– Bobby Murphy, vice president and chief operating officer at Beaver Creek Resort
At Crested Butte, there were plenty of tutus and smiles to go around as skiers and riders got in their first laps of the season across nearly 35 acres of terrain. Guests enjoyed lift line giveaways, limited edition opening day posters, free snacks and a tutu station while listening to DJ Red spinning tracks on the snow next to Red Lady Express. Skiers and riders were able to refuel with all-day happy hour specials at Butte 66, as well as the debut of CBMRโs brand-new pizza restaurant in the Grand Lodge, Highlife Crust & Crafts.
โWhat an amazing way to kick off the ski and ride season at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! The energy has been great all day. Itโs wonderful to see the smiles on our guestsโ faces as they get in their first laps of the winter. We are so excited for the season ahead.”
– Tara Schoedinger, vice president and general manager of CBMR
