Alyeka ski resort in Girdwood, AK stands alone as the only ski resort in North America (mostly likely the world) to break the 400โ€ณ snowfall total mark this season.  Alyeska has gotten 418โ€ณ of snowfall this season and they have 119โ€ณ of snow laying on the ground right now.

418โ€ณ of snow already and itโ€™s only January!  Most resorts hope to get 400โ€ณ in a full year.  In a really good full year.

Alyeskaโ€™s averages 650โ€ณ of snowfall per season and their highest recorded total was 978โ€ณ of snowfall back in 2011/12.

Alyeska is on track to have one helluva high snowfall total this seasonโ€ฆ

This year at Alyeska has been a non-stop snow machine.  Our Alyeska reporter, Scott Rich, has been bringing us solid photos and updates from Alyeska every week and itโ€™s been insane to watch the snowfall totals growโ€ฆ

"Really fun day of skiing out there today! We hit 398" on the year this morning and it's still coming down. We'll be well over the 400" by tomorrow, come make some turns!!" - Alyeska on Jan. 23rd

If you havenโ€™t skied Alyeska, itโ€™s time to step up.  Copious amounts of snow, one of the coolest ski towns in North America (Girdwood), live music at the Sitzmark, and some of the steepest, most sustained falline skiing in the USA on the North Face of Alyeska.

Itโ€™s gonna be a great year to come up to Alaska to heli ski, backcountry ski, ski Alyeska, and just simply revel in how much snow theyโ€™ve gotten this year.  This spring will belong to AKโ€ฆ
