Alyeka ski resort in Girdwood, AK stands alone as the only ski resort in North America (mostly likely the world) to break the 400โณ snowfall total mark this season. Alyeska has gotten 418โณ of snowfall this season and they have 119โณ of snow laying on the ground right now.
418โณ of snow already and itโs only January! Most resorts hope to get 400โณ in a full year. In a really good full year.

The next closest ski resorts arenโt even close right now with Mt. Baker sporting a total of 357โณ โ Sugar Bowl, CA & Mt. Bachelor, OR are at and 337โณ & 326โณ respectively.
Alyeskaโs averages 650โณ of snowfall per season and their highest recorded total was 978โณ of snowfall back in 2011/12.

Alyeska is on track to have one helluva high snowfall total this seasonโฆ
This year at Alyeska has been a non-stop snow machine. Our Alyeska reporter, Scott Rich, has been bringing us solid photos and updates from Alyeska every week and itโs been insane to watch the snowfall totals growโฆ

If you havenโt skied Alyeska, itโs time to step up. Copious amounts of snow, one of the coolest ski towns in North America (Girdwood), live music at the Sitzmark, and some of the steepest, most sustained falline skiing in the USA on the North Face of Alyeska.
Itโs gonna be a great year to come up to Alaska to heli ski, backcountry ski, ski Alyeska, and just simply revel in how much snow theyโve gotten this year. This spring will belong to AKโฆ
