Arizona Snowbowl announced in a press release and on social media yesterday that it is bringing forward its opening day by two weeks and will start spinning lifts from 9 a.m. on Friday, November 8. This marks the earliest opening day in the resort’s 86-year history.

Thanks to plentiful early-season snowstorms, mountain teams have worked extensively to prepare the mountain for another phenomenal winter season and the resort is ready to welcome skiers and riders back.

“We’re excited to welcome everyone back to Arizona Snowbowl for the 24-25 ski season. Not only are we opening two weeks early, but we’re also unveiling exciting capital improvements, including a new fixed-grip quad chairlift and four new ski trails, expanding our beginner terrain on the mountain. Join us on Friday, November 8, as we celebrate this historic opening and the start of another incredible winter season!”
— Angie Grubb, Marketing Manager, Arizona Snowbowl

The Arizona Gondola will be the only lift available this weekend, offering access to advanced trails only, including Spur Catwalk, Lower Bowl, Log Jam, Wild Turkey, and Round Up. The Agassiz Lodge will provide food, beverages, and retail, and Hart Prairie Lodge will be open for guest services and rental pick-up. Opening day terrain is best suited for advanced skiers and riders, and additional lifts and trails will open as conditions allow.

New for the 2024-25 season, Arizona Snowbowl unveils the Aspen Chairlift, a brand new fixed-grip quad lift. The Aspen Chairlift will service four new trails: Giddy Up, Chipmunk Chase, Lupine Lane, and Jackrabbit, expanding beginner terrain. Lift tickets can be purchased online and in advance, starting at $19 on select dates. Snowbowl’s demand-based pricing means that ticket prices will rise with demand, so planning ahead is key to securing the lowest prices of the season.
