In honor of International Women’s Day on Friday, March 8, Aspen Snowmass, Colorado, will be celebrating with its second annual Uphill Champagne Lunch. Guests are invited to uphill at Buttermilk to the mountaintop Cliffhouse restaurant, where Aspen Snowmass will host a celebratory lunch offering complimentary champagne to attendees over 21.
The Uphill Champagne Lunch is open to all and
will take place at the Cliffhouse on Buttermilk from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8.The lunch will feature music from local DJ Alex Golden, a raffle benefitting the non-profit organization Women of Winter and gifts from Halfdays, Klean Kanteen, Aspen Hospitality and other local businesses. Attendees can uphill via one of Buttermilk’s three designated uphill routes, passes are required and dogs are not permitted. The event is open to all, and attendees who do not wish to uphill can take the Summit Express or Tiehack Express chairlifts to the top.
Ute Mountaineer, located in downtown Aspen, will provide complimentary uphill rentals for attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis. Secure rentals by contacting the store directly.
On Friday evening, the Limelight Aspen will host an après event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring a free screening of “Advice for Girls,” a ski and snowboard film with an all-female cast and crew. Director Sara Robbins and local Aspen Snowmass athlete Sierra Schlag will be in attendance and will host a Q&A panel following the screening.
Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) will also be sponsoring the weekly Friday morninguphill breakfast in celebration of International Women’s Day at the Cliffhouse on Friday morning. Breakfast starts at 8:45 a.m. and will be followed by trivia and giveaways.
