Aspen Mountain has just announced that they will be reopening this coming Memorial Day Weekend from May 25-27th. Colorado has had a terrific spring snow-wise and Colorado ski resorts have been responding the right way by reopening to give people another shot at a winter that really hit its stride in April & May. Breckenridge, Vail, Copper, and now Aspen have all reopened once this season. (alta has reopened twice!)
“We’ve received nearly four feet of snow since Aspen Mountain closed. In fact, it’s snowing at the top of Aspen Mountain right now. If it won’t quit snowing we shouldn’t quit skiing.” – Rich Burkley, vice president of mountain operations, Aspen Skiing Company

We’re stoked Aspen is reopening this weekend. There are some great decisions being made from the top at Colorado ski resorts. This is what should be done when springtime is this good. Thanks Aspen.
More resorts should do stuff like this. Makes people loyal.
great news!
