Things in Australia have been looking pretty good lately, after a bit of a late start, the mountains have been seeing some decent falls of snow.ย
The forecast for last weekend was looking good, a little bit of fresh snow and then sunshine. Rob and Myself got in the car late Friday afternoon and begun the six and a half hour mission up to the mountains.
Saturday was a great day in the resort of Mt Hotham, little bit of fresh snow overnight kept everyone happy and stoked. The ski area has filled in really nicely this year.
On Sunday, we started the day hitting a cliff out the front of our accommodation and then headed for the Razorback which is easily accessed from the great alpine road about 4 kms from the ski area. We skinned out about 3 or 4 kms along the Razorback and skied some really fun lines. The snow was a little bit wind shralped in certain areas, but there were still a bunch of good turns to be had out there.
We finished off the day skiing Baldy hollow, where we skied straight back to the car and then started the mission back down to the surf coast.
All in all a rad weekend!
