Jackson Hole Tram OPENS Friday!!! The Jackson Hole Aerial Tram is opening this Friday!! With over 100 inches of snow on the season and a base depth of 54 inches Jackson is planning on having 100% of it’s terrain open! For early December coverage is excellent!!!! That means 4,139 vertical and 2,500 acres of open terrain people! On December 5!! Rendezvous Bowl to the Hobacks!!! Early December usually equates to low snow and equally low amount of people, only the earlier stands true this season. Lift lines are not here…..YET…….so get on it!! Jackson Hole is Open!! AND IT’S GOOD! | 98″ & Counting… Jackson Hole Mountain Resort started spinning itโs lifts for the 2014/2015 season opening 4 lifts, Casper, Marmot, Apres Vous, and Teewinot on Thursday followed by the Gondola and Thunder on Saturday. This weekend was nothing less than exceptional with the upper mountain opening. The snow has been piling up with a 43 inch base and 93 inches of snow so far this season. Wyoming Surf & Culture Report: A Legit River Wave In a canyon tucked away a little south of the resort town Jackson Hole you can find a surf spot, known as a Lunch Counter Rapid. This rapid creates a glassy wave that is surfable at certain river levels, usually in between low and higher flows. In itโs prime season it is an easy walk to the river edge where you can see kayakers and surfers taking turns riding this natural phenomenon.
