Jackson Hole: One Last Report From DEEPcember

DEEPcember is living up to it’s name once again in Jackson Hole as the Teton mountains are seeing the second snowiest December in over 40 years! Since a late opening early this season the snow hasn’t stopped, with 21 FEET of snow so far for the season the pow riding has been plentiful, and early season obstacles have vanished under a thick blanket of snow.

Jackson Hole, WY Conditions Report: IT’S GOING OFF!!

Over 3 FEET of snow has fallen in the past week on the upper elevations at Jackson Hole resort! With all the new snow the ski patrol was able to OPEN the TRAM this past Sunday along with Sublet and Thunder chairs. Saying the mountain has been riding great might be an understatement. New snow, walk on trams, fresh terrain, and another Winter Storm Warning for the rest of the week! If you aren’t in Jackson right now you are blowing it!

Jackson Hole is Turning On!

After a late opening this season due to lack of snow and unseasonably warm temperatures, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort opened it’s doors to hungry skiers and riders as mother nature has turned a 360! The snow has been piling up in the Tetons and more is on the way as the lifts are spinning, and more terrain is opened at the resort every day!

Winter Returns to Jackson!!

It is currently DUMPING in Jackson Hole with more on the way!! With the Jackson Hole Rendezvous Festival in full swing and lots of events going on this week Jackson is the place to be!! Spring temperatures and sunny skies that have been dominant over the past few weeks have left the area as heavy snow and colder remind us that it is not over yet!!

300″ and Counting! Jackson Hole Conditions

Jackson Hole surpassed 300″ of snow on the year during this past week! The majority of the snow fell in one 24 hour period bringing 15″ of heavy snow and wind. The snow fell at relatively “warmer” temperatures, the heavy density snow did an incredible job covering up the havoc left by the rain that fell the week before. Icy moguls and tracked out runs were reset by the storm giving skiers and riders smooth lines from the top to the bottom.

Jackson Hole Conditions: The Week of the Pow

Jackson Hole received 34 inches of snow last week creating some of the best conditions the resort has seen all season. With the majority of the snow falling mostly in a short period, skiers and riders in Jackson woke up one morning to a 17 inch pow day with face shots a plenty.

Jackson Hole, WY Conditions Report: Welcome to POWDERDISE!!

Jackson Hole resort received 3-4 FEET of snow over the last week!! Snow fell 9 consecutive days in a row allowing the resort to open the majority of the terrain on the mountain including the Hobacks and Lower Faces. Total snowfall for the year at the top of the mountain is 162 inch’s with a base of 68 inch’s. While the last week of riding in Jackson Hole has been nothing short of epic, the whole month of December did not disappoint!
