After many years of drought, the day finally came when Kirkwood was skiing like its old self again. With over 200 inches on the upper mountain, now surpassing the total snow of last season, all my favorite zones are skiing quite well. It has been some time where we could lap every aspect of Chair 6 to Chair 10, over to Eagle and Norm’s, to the steeps of West Shore and the Temple of Doom, with that final sweet lap back through Hell’s Delight of Thunder Saddle…AND IT FEELS GREAT!
With storms lined up out in the Pacific, it looks like the radical conditions may just continue…

I can get used to these gorgeous Sunday morning drives…
Sometimes you just got to get after it on the first run…
The coverage on the upper mountain is ridiculous compared to the last few years…
As long as the moguls aren’t too large, you might as well go for speed…
Aaron Miller is older than all of us and still skis like a champ…
The sun finally popped through and thus it was ON…
Bevan proves he’s an extreme skier…
The coverage of Wagon Wheel Ridge is quite impressive…
After declaring it safe, Bevan drops into the Funnel…
I might as well follow suit…
After years of mediocrity, the Lower Cirque is in play again…
The snow has been fast and fun…
Covered Wagon Peak has been a popular destination…
Bevan takes a fresh line down Boulevard…
Aaron Miller eyes up his line with Peak 9795 looming in the distance…
Looks like he found a nice powder pocket…
I thoroughly enjoyed myself at this point…
Peak 9795 and Pipeline Chute…
Sally Alley had some traffic…
The Temple of Doom showed no traffic for this season, so I gave it a test…
Bevan…well…maybe this is a good time to watch the video.
The coverage at Kirkwood is strong…from Cornice all the way to Round Top Peak…
The scenery doesn’t hurt the eyes or the mind…
After picking up my grom from JETS, we did some laps on Chair 6!
His dad may have launched off this thing many times, but he’s never allowed…
Desolation Wilderness showing its white colors from Kirkwood…
My son and I rallied some late afternoon groomers…
Through the Ditch of Doom and to the cafe to pick out an end of day treat…
AND IT KEEPS SNOWING!!!!!!
The pin ball line down doom was awesome!
Where and how do you get to boulevard chute?
I’ve already shared too much but lets just say its just beyond Fawn Ridge on the backside ๐
This is a Grade-A conditions report. More please. And not SQUAW

Probably not the most appropriate title considering…
