Badger pass ski area is open! Although it’s no longer called Badger pass, but this famous Yosemite Ski & Snowboard area is open today, January 14th, 2017! They’ve got 4-5 feet of snow for the last storm.

Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area has it all, and makes it easy—from getting here to renting equipment to taking lessons. You’ll find groomed trails perfect for cross-country skiers, chairlifts that take Alpine skiers to the top of the runs in minutes, a challenging terrain park for snowboarders and skiers to test their limits, and a tubing area where the whole family can experience the thrills together.

You can enjoy downhill skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing tour to Glacier Point, including overnight trip as well as beautiful views of Half Dome and Merced river.

There is a free shuttle service offered from Yosemite Valley to ski area.

Area Information:

  • Elevation: 7,200 ft to 8,000 ft, vertical drop of 800 ft.
  • Average Temperature range – 30° to 60° Fahrenheit
  • 10 ski runs: 35% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced
  • 5 chairlifts: 1 triple-chair, 3 double-chair, 1 handle tow
  • Beginner-friendly terrain park

Lifts and rentals are open from 9am to 4pm. Adult lift ticket price is only $47! You can find all the prices and discounts here.

National park entrance $25 fee is waived for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

You can check on current road conditions and chain restrictions by calling 209/372-0200 (press 1 then 1). Chains may be required.
