In an announcement on social media yesterday, Vail Resorts owned Stevens Pass revealed that they would not open their bike park this summer.
Spring is here, and summer is right around the corner. Hikers are welcome to use Stevens Pass to access the Pacific Crest Trail and local trail network.
We will not open the bike park this summer and will evaluate its future ahead of next summer.
In the meantime, our teams are already hard at work preparing for winter and will continue maintenance to ensure we deliver a great experience next season.
We look forward to seeing you again for winter 2021-22.
Last year the bike park didn’t open due to the covid-19 pandemic.ย There is no explantion for the continued closure this year.
Furthermore, the announcement ominously says that they will be evaluating the future of the bike park ahead of next summer.ย Could they be shutting it down for good?
