Blue Knob All Seasons Resort will open on Saturday, December 2nd, skiing & riding on limited terrain from 10 am until 5 pm. The same hours will be in effect on Sunday, December 3rd. Lift tickets will be half-price! The resort will be open on weekends only until conditions are suitable for continued snowmaking.
Saturday is also the date of Blue Knob’s 6th annual “Merry On The Mountain Holiday Kick-Off & Light Up Event,” a free indoor/outdoor holiday event from 4:30 until 7:30 pm at the Blue Knob Conference Center. It features craft & holiday vendors, Christmas music, soup & hot chocolate for sale and jolly old Santa himself! Everyone is invited to enter the “Gingerbread House Contest” for a chance to win a prize! Those who would like to enter may take their Gingerbread house to the Blue Knob Clubhouse from 10 am on Thursday, November 30th until 4 pm on Saturday, December 2nd! Winners will be determined by the most votes and a prize will be awarded to a winner 15 & younger and also 16 & older!
The event is topped off by the lighting of an enormous holiday tree at 7 pm and one lucky child 12 or younger will win the opportunity to do the lighting honors! Our holiday tree was created by the students and faculty of Global Powerline Academy!
Blue Knob All Seasons Resort is located near Claysburg, Pennsylvania, adjacent to beautiful Blue Knob State Park. The resort is located on Pennsylvania’s highest skiable mountain and operates in cooperation with PA DCNR. Blue Knob offers year-round recreation, including, skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, golf, swimming and a trail system for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, mountain biking, hiking, and running.
