As opening day for winter 2023-24 quickly approaches, the parks team at Breckenridge Resort, CO, has been busy preparing for a great (and hopefully very snowy!) season.
Terrain Parks Manager Brendan Treffinger and Day Crew Attendant Scooter Bowen offered this update on the exciting differences riders will notice at the resort’s terrain parks this winter.
“Check out this update on all things Breck Parks. Weโre excited to debut a plan that looks a little different from the past few seasons, with three different parks spread out between Peaks 8 and 9. With the new Five SuperChair upgrade to a high-speed quad, our park skiers and riders will be able to get in more laps and more fun on our large line on Freeway (Peak 8). And, for the first time, our medium line will find its home on Lower American on Peak 9. Weโre stoked to continue fostering a positive park community and plenty of opportunities for progression here at Breck.”
Breckenridge was one of the few ski resorts in the US to receive a dusting of snow in August. More significant snow has fallen since then, and the resort has recently tested its snowmaking equipment and is primed to fire up the guns as soon as temperatures drop in preparation for what should be an epic opening day on November 10th.
