Police Identify Body of Snowboarder Found in Breckenridge, CO River

The body of a man dressed in snowboarding gear was found in the Blue River in Breckenridge, CO, on Monday, the Breckenridge Police Department announced.

A passerby called police to report the body at 1:54 pm in the river’s area adjacent to a satellite parking lot.

The cause and manner of death are unknown.

The victim was identified yesterday, but his identity has not yet been released to the public while the next of kin is notified.

ย Police said the victim is a white male with dark skin, around 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, multiple tattoos, and was wearing snowboarding boots and pants when found.

The Summit County Coronerโ€™s Office is investigating the death.
