When life gives you lemons…

With record-breaking snowfall and a 172-inch base, Brighton Resort in Utah has decided to extend its ski season until the end of May. Originally slated to close on April 30, Brighton pulled the plug on deciding to keep its lifts spinning another month because of how much snow is currently on the mountain.

It’d be a shame to let all that great snow go to waste.

Sharing in a social post this morning, Brighton wrote:

You asked and we now have the answer. Brightonโ€™s closing day for the regular season is on April 30th, but we are reopening our Milly Lift on May 5th for the Milly Meltdown session until Memorial Day with groomer runs and an entire terrain park!

Spring days have been overtaken by snow, so we thought how can when give you a chance at some more of those sunny, slushy days? Instead of heading somewhere else this spring to ride, you can now stay at your home base and ride some of the best terrain in North America.

All season Passholders will have access to the Milly Meltdown (in keeping to the rules of their pass type) and 22/23 Ikon Passholders. If you donโ€™t have a pass, snag a Brighton Spring Pass on sale now which grants you access to ride from April 1st til Milly closes.

Day tickets will also be offered online. Milly will be open daily 9AM-2PM during this bonus time (Please keep in mind changes may be made depending on weather).

Milly will be up and running until Memorial Day at Brighton, and nearby resorts Snowbasin and Deer Valley have also extended their season until April 23. With April only a few days away, ski season only has a few weeks left, and the time to enjoy lift-accessed, delicious spring snow is now!
