It was with great sadness that we heard about the passing of 30-year old pro-skier Bryce Newcomb last week. Bryce was a good buddy of ours and made numerous contributions to this site. His love for life, and the way he lived to the fullest right until the very end will inspire us every single day.
There has been a memorial service organized for those wishing to celebrate the life of Bryce. Ben Dejo has the details:
Hi everybody,
I’m so sorry to say that this is my last update on Bryce. As you know by now, on Friday night, Bryce decided that it was time to move on and see what else the universe has to offer. On behalf of Bryce’s family, I want to express immense gratitude to everybody that showed their love and support for Bryce over the last 3 months. It was amazing to see the outpouring from the ski community as well as all the amazing friends Bryce has. Without your donations, thoughts, prayers and physical presence, Bryce would never have made it this far. Bryce was one of a kind and there is no better proof of his impact than the outpouring of love for Bryce over the last 80+ days.
A memorial service is being planned for next Wednesday the 27th of June in Ketchum, ID at the Presbyterian Church of the Bigwood. Service will be from 1-430pm with a reception to follow.
In addition, there will be a service in Jackson Hole to be announced.
Much love, Ben
