Mark your calendars for November 23, folks, because the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) is back for its 17th annual Benefit Bash. This event, lasting from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. MST at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, Colorado, will feature live music, drinks, auctions, giveaways, and more to celebrate avalanche safety and the backcountry community.
Tickets are currently on sale for $50, and your purchase supports CAIC forecasts and avalanche safety in Colorado. The CAIC receives roughly 2,300 reported avalanches each year, with hundreds or even thousands more going unreported. Attending the Benefit Bash will support the CAIC’s efforts to inform the community as well as to keep skiers safe as they take on the beautiful Colorado backcountry.
For the first time, the CAIC Benefit Bash will have a Pre-Event Happy Hour at the Cabin Juice Eatery and Bar inside of Gravity Haus Breckenridge. Just a short walk from the Riverwalk Center, the Pre-Event Happy Hour is the perfect chance to eat and get in partying mood before the Benefit Bash starts. This will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and no RSVP is necessary.
The CAIC Benefit Bash will have a live performance by Rapidgrass with special guest Mark Levy. Besides being in a band, these guys are avid backcountry skiers, a testament to the CAIC’s dedication to the skiing community. Rapidgrass, which aims to inspire skiers and snowboarders across the globe, could not have been a better choice to help the CAIC kick off the most exciting time of the year.
As the Colorado snow moves in, the excitement for backcountry lines continues to rise, and what better way to prepare for a safe season than to spend the afternoon at the Benefit Bash? The safe way is the right way, so get your tickets for the Benefit Bash and get ready for a safe and amazing ski season.
