Earlier this week, we shared an NWS forecast predicting 28-FEET of snow over 72-hours in Alaska’s Chugach Mountains.
Many people were skeptical. Only the very highest peaks would see snowfall, and most would see rain. There are also no weather stations on any of the highest mountains, so proving that that amount of snow had fallen is impossible.
Points North Heli-Adventures, a heli-skiing outfit of 22-years serving the Chugach Range out of Cordova, AK, shared some photos yesterday of how the mountains look from 30,000′.
