For this weeks edition of Music Mondays we bring you Coconut Records, a solo music project by actor Jason Schwartzman. Often times it seems actors like to dabble in music just as musicians like to dabble in film, the cross over isn’t always pleasant, Schwartzman however got it. Coconut Records is categorized as indie pop and has a smooth pleasant sound as Schwartzman can sing just as well as he can act.

Schwartzman started Coconut Records in Los Angeles in 2006 and has produced two studio albums since. In addition to the studio albums his work has been used on HBO’s series Bored to Death as well as the movie Funny People. Coconut Records produces smooth mellow music perfect for just lounging to, great beach music for these summer months.
