Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) was called to respond to a skier with a broken leg in the backcountry south of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY yesterday morning.

The skier sustained the fracture after jumping the exit cliff at the bottom of Central Couloir, a steep line on Cody Peak.

After witnessing the incident, the Jackson Hole Ski Patrol requested helicopter assistance and sent a hasty team to the patient in Cody Bowl.

TCSAR responded with a helicopter short-haul team and lifted the injured skier to an ambulance in Teton Village.

Below is a video of our buddy sending the same cliff last week… gnarly.
