Colorado’s snowpack is very dangerous right now and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.
A teetering snowpack and one of the largest storms of the season collide starting today. Snowfall will increase during the day and we expect heavy snowfall tonight and into Tuesday. We issued an Avalanche Watch for 9 of the 10 backcountry forecast zones, which means we expect HIGH (4 of 5) avalanche danger by tomorrow.
