“Babe wake up, new highway cross-sections just dropped
Prolonged snowfall will impact the mountains through early Monday, with heavy accumulations for many locations. The heaviest snow is expected Saturday evening through Sunday.
Travel impacts will be widespread in the high country, and strong winds this weekend will produce blowing snow and poor visibility, making travel more difficult.
North and Middle Parks stand to receive healthy accumulations too. Note the particularly heavy totals for Rabbit Ears Pass near Steamboat Springs. All in all, this will be a highly beneficial snowfall event for the high country to help build snowpack, which has gotten off to a relatively slow start. That said, make sure you’re prepared for potentially gnarly driving conditions this weekend in the mountains.”
