Despite it being almost May, Colorado’s winter keep plugging along. Loveland and Arapahoe Basin are still open and each expecting around a foot of new snow on Tuesday leaving Wednesday, May 1st to be another unexpected powder day.
“The fun begins on Tuesday as a strong storm will move through Colorado with cold air, a heavy snow band, meaningful accumulations, and yes, perhaps a May 1st powder day (Wednesday) at Abasin and Loveland.” – Joel Gratz/opensnow.com
LOVELAND PASS FORECAST:
Right now, it looks like Wednesday and Thursday are going to be your best chances for powder days at Loveland & Arapahoe Basin. This could be the last storm of the year so get out there early and have some fun.
The Colorado Avalanche Information Center will have a new update Wednesday morning. Regardless of where you’re skiing, please check out the CAIC Wednesday morning for the latest avalanche information.
I think Colorado finally wins.
Bring. It.
