Cori stoked to ski some backcountry powder.

Its been interesting here at Crystal mountain the last week. We had it all from rain to freezing bluebird days but Ol’ Mother Nature should be coming through tomorrow!
After several days of dust on crust, the warmer temps and bit of wet snow are softening up the slopes.  Still some “Early season conditions” out there that hopefully will on be covered up by this weekend, heck I might be able to snowboard all the way to the Snorting Elk finally! Still having a great time no matter what.

Theresa Sippel stoked to ski fast.

The PNW Hot Pow (rain) smoothed out bumps and ancient ski tracks, with new snow falling on top its just delightful to slash some shallow turns!  Northway has been pretty good for my 1st time being back there this year. Glad I can still find my way around in a storm.

The cat crew has done a good job of some really fun and fast groomers. Big thanks Lift maintenance and Patrol for working long days in some adverse conditions.  Crystal started having music on the patio for apres which is kinda fun. I’m usually working but worth checking out if you’re on the hill. Just be aware the will be a ski race going Sunday as well (also fun to watch, those kids are fast). Also the following weekend, K2 and SheJumps is having a party for International Women’s Ski Day on the 20th. I fully support encouraging people getting outdoors and the SheJumps events are just fun, even for guys!

Backcountry conditions are variable and changing daily it seems, be careful out there. I had a good day of shallow powder in the Crystal backcountry but still needs more snow. Check out the NWAC Avalanche danger here.
