This past week has been insane. The snow has just been piling up. Between digging out my car and riding powder there has been barely anytime for writing conditions reports and taking pictures.
It has been quiet on the mountain the past few days as well. Especially the dump days have been super fun with fresh tracks every run.
Last weekend it snowed 40cm of dry light pow on a rather hard icy surface but if you stayed away from steep terrain you could ride bottomless faceshot pow. Tuesday the snow picked up again. Great dump day riding. By Wednesday it had snowed 60 cm and the sun came out and it was fully on. What a day of amazing riding. Cliffs could be dropped and hip deep pow turns with huge sprays everywhere.
Exhausted from riding hard Wednesday I woke up Thursday morning to another 30 cm on my car. With barely anybody on the mountain untracked top to bottom lines all day. I love storm skiing!
Friday was another great dump day with about 15-20cm. Today full on sunshine with another fresh coating of 15 cm โ it just keeps coming and riding is phenomenal at the moment.
Apart from that there is more snow in the forecast as well. So it’s going to be a lot of work packing down all the powder the coming week.
