On July 13, 2022, the Summit County Sheriffโs Office, Criminal Investigations Section, received information from the United States Postal Inspector and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of a package containing fentanyl pills being shippedย through a private mail carrier,ย to the Edge Employee Housing at Copper Mountain, CO.
Upon receipt of the information, Summit County Sheriffโs Office conducted an undercover operation and controlled delivery of the package, and took Anthony Wahl (DOB 04/02/1981) into custody without incident. A search warrant for the package was obtained and a subsequent search resulted in the discovery of 115 fentanyl pills.
Anthony Wahl was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, a level 4 drug felony and Unlawful Distribution Manufacturing, Dispensing, or Sale of a Controlled Substance, a level 1 drug felony.ย
