Ragged Mountain Resort, New Hampshire, is up for sale as it celebrates its 60th year of operation. CBRE Golf & Resort Group is selling the 1,900-acre property, including the ski resort and adjacent development land. There is no mention of an asking price.
The sale includes the Ragged Mountain Resort and 443 acres of surrounding development land with entitlements for 870 Equivalent Residential Units (ERUs). Potential buyers can purchase the resort, the real estate development land, or both as a package.
Ragged Mountain has 57 trails across 250 skiable acres and a vertical drop of 1,250 feet. The resort features modern amenities, including two high-speed chairlifts and an advanced snowmaking system, contributing to its recent success.

Marketing Manager Kyle Matzke reported that Ragged Mountainโs 2024-2025 season has been exceptional. โWe breached over 100,000 skier visits for the first time. Itโs been a banner year in revenue and skier visitation,โ Matzke told the Concord Monitor.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding its future ownership, Ragged Mountain is moving forward with its 60th-anniversary celebrations. The resort has planned a series of events for the upcoming weekend, including a freestyle contest and a โparty ski from the summitโ featuring individuals with significant ties to Raggedโs history.
The CBRE brochure says that the sale of Ragged Mountain presents a unique opportunity for investors. The property offers a well-established ski resort and significant development potential. With 870 entitled ERUs and parcels ready for near-term development, the new owner could transform Ragged Mountain into a master-planned ski community.
Ragged Mountain Resort, located in Danbury, has a storied history dating back to its opening in 1965. The resort has changed hands several times, facing financial challenges along the way. After going bankrupt in 1974, the state briefly owned it before being sold to private investors. In the late 1980s, developers Al and Walter Endriunas purchased and expanded the resort, installing New Hampshireโs first six-person chairlift. In 2007, RMR-Pacific LLC, an Utah-based Pacific Group Resorts affiliate, acquired Ragged Mountain. Currently, the resort is individually owned by Doug Anderson, a co-founder of Pacific Group Resorts. Ragged Mountain is part of the Indy Pass program, offering access to passholders with some blackout dates.
