Avoriaz ski resort in the French Alps just went partially underwater after a big week of rain and snowmelt filled a nearby reservoir and filled up a basin that contained one of their ski lifts.
The result of this heavy rain has been the submergence of the Pas du Lac zone of the ski resort including the Express de Stade chairlift. All this water can’t be good for the lift nor it’s terminal. Most of the important machinery is above the water line, so we’ll hope for the best.
