The 2015 Shreddit Showdown is on and in full swing! While the winter on the West Coast has been less than desirable (I mean, who we kidding) this last week brought snow to California, Utah, and California amongst others. So there is no excuse to not get out and shoot some video, and possibly win some awesome stuff, like a pair of next years Blizzard Skis and Cochise Boots. So to get your stoke level up, we thought we would share last years Shreddit Showdown Winners edits, and who knows, maybe inspire you to go out and make your own winning edit…
1st Place, “AK Dreaming”
Jonathan Matthews of Squaw Valley, CA
Jonathan won a pair of 2015 Blizzard Spurs and Cochise boots last spring with his amazing edit of the astounding mountains and sick skiing in Haines, AK.
With patience comes the payoff – After the long drive to Haines, and enduring some true ski bum accommodations for weeks, I got mine in AK. Recent snow in Tahoe just leaves me drooling for the big days up in Haines.
2nd Place, “Hawt Drought”
Hazen Woolson of Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, CA
Last year Hazen won a Smith Variance Helmet, I/O Goggles, and a $100 Granite Chief Boot Service Gift Card, with his creative edit of the variable skiing in Tahoe that included everything from backcountry to park in a less than ideal year in Tahoe.
California’s historic drought continues with the Janky crew caught in the middle. Will they shred on or succumb to dehydration?
3rd Place, “Tahoe Massive: Departure”
Henry Holdsworth of Alpine Meadows, CA
Henry won a K2 Pilchuck backcountry pack and a $100 Granite Chief Boot Service Gift Card with his crew of amazing rippers as they shredded park, skinny skis, and the ever elusive powder turns.
The Massive crew embraces spring-like conditions and California sunshine, but quenches its’ thirst for deep powder and great times all across the wild west.
People’s Choice, “The Bird”
Ryan Faye of Squaw Valley, CA
Ryan won a GoPro Hero 3+ last spring with the peoples choice award after he did some nasty shredding around Snowbird in Utah, one of our favorite places outside Tahoe.
