In case you hadn’t heard: Whistler is open. They opened last Saturday. Blackcomb will open on November 28th.
This video gives us a small glimpse into what it’s like to work avalanche control at Whistler Blackcomb. Whistler sees a lot of snow and wind each year and they throw and launch a lot of bombs each year to keep their clients safe.
The result of that hard work is the faceshots highlighted in the second part of the video. If you’ve been to Whistler, you wanna go back. If you haven’t yet been, you have a pilgrimage in front of you.
