Report from January 24-26, 2023
Folks, this just in:
Old Man Winter is enjoying a good ol’ chill session around the Tetons and at Grand Targhee Resort.
A foot-plus has blown in at the ‘Ghee over the past day or so. And the storm brewing overnight is giving us sweet dreams for tomorrow.
The classic when it comes to skiing the Teton’s west faces, these couple days have been marked by many happy turns at Targhee.
Three inches here, ten inches there, and mighty cold mornings to keep the drops zesty.
Sugar and Spice…and Party Powder; that pretty much sums it up at Grand Targhee, we suppose.
Unsurprising for this time of year, the ‘Ghee’s north-facing aspects collect the goods that stretch the grin extra-wide.
That said, we dipped into a surprisingly whale-of-a-good time among the swings and gullies of sneaky zone, Middle Earth, where the tracks were few and the silence complete; a combo which seems to very much work for us.
Looking ahead, the forecast suggests a pretty solidly good day set to ‘repeat’ for the next week or so.ย
Happy hunting, hope to see ya ’round the bends!
