A group of cyclists from Whitefish, Montana, were riding on the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park when they had a close encounter with a large grizzly bear. The group can be heard yelling “no bear,” and some people can be seen holding out bear spray in preparation for a possible encounter.
Luckily, the bear didn’t seem too interested in the group.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks recommend people recreate with bear spray – especially in the spring and summer months – in the event they encounter wildlife.
