The wind and rain has shut down 3 Tahoe ski resorts:

  • Squaw Valley
  • Homewood (closed due to rain, not wind)
  • Mt. Rose

Tahoe ski resorts that are open have limited operations generally only running lower mountain lifts.

Alpine Meadows has Roundhouse open, so we’re going to head over there and give it a whirl.

The boys will most certainly be out there surfing the lake today.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS 65 TO 70 MPH. GUSTS
  OVER 80 MPH LIKELY IN WIND PRONE AREAS AROUND RENO...CARSON
