Hotham Alpine Resort, Australia, Starts Spinning Lifts Today

After the recent snowfalls across the Australian Alps, Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria announced that they would start operations from 1 p.m. today, Friday, June 16, 2023.

The Hotham Mountain Operations team has been working around the clock to get the resort ready, and the Summit and Summit Trainer opened for the official first day of the 2023 season this afternoon.

The forecast for Hotham is promising, with snow forecast by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology ‘BOM’ every day in the coming six days. Hopefully, the forecasted snow will enable Victorian resorts to open up more lifts in the coming days.
