Multi-resort passes are now becoming the norm in the ski industry. One pass that is priced around the same cost as a singular ski area pass can now grant access to dozens of mountains across the world. Ikon, Epic, and Indy Pass are to name a few. The infographic above compares the historic pass renewal price increases across the three passes. Here’s a breakdown:

Ikonย Pass increased its pass renewal price by 8.01% in the winter of 2022/2023, followed by 7.41% this winter, and expects to increase it again in the winter of 2024/2025 by 7.77%. This marks a 23.19% increase over three years.

Epic Pass increased its pass renewal price by 7.41% last winter, followed by 8.09% this winter, and expects to increase it again next winter by 8.03%. This amounts to a 23.53% increase over three years.

Indy Pass raised its renewal price by 7.72% last winter, however, unlike its competitors, it did not raise its renewal price this winter or for the winter to come, marking only a 7.72% increase over the three seasons.

The rise of multi-resort passes such as Ikon, Epic, and Indy Pass has reshaped the ski industry, offering skiers and snowboarders unparalleled access to numerous mountains worldwide at a price comparable to a single resort pass. The comparison of historic pass renewal price increases highlights the evolving landscape of these passes. While Ikon and Epic Pass have seen steady increases in renewal prices over the past three years, Indy Pass stands out for maintaining consistency, demonstrating a unique approach within the market. As the popularity of multi-resort passes continues to grow, understanding the trends in pricing becomes increasingly essential for those seeking the best value for their winter adventures.

  1. Solo clearly Epic comes in cheaper but add two kid passes to the and it quickly shows why IKON works better for families with the $199 passes.
