Which European Ski Resorts are Opening in October?

While the ski season kicks off in December for most people, some skiers and boarders can barely wait to get their first turns in.

If you count yourself in the latter group and are wondering where to head to for some October skiing and snowboarding, these resorts will be opening for the season this month:

October 3: Kaunertal Glacier, Austria

October 4: Levi, Finland

October 4: Ruka, Finland

October 5: Kitzsteinhorn/Kaprun, Austria

October 12: Mรถlltaler Gletscher, Austria

October 19: Diavolezza, Switzerland*

October 26: Ortler Ski Arena, Italy

October 26: Ponte di Legno Tonale, Italy

October 26: Engelberg/Titlis, Switzerland

October 26: Hemavan Tรคrnaby, Sweden

*Diavolezza will open to the public on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays are only for registered teams/training.
