With less than two weeks left of the 22/23 season, Crested Butte Mountain Resort, CO, is packing tons of fun into its end-of-season program. The Colorado resort has had a bumper season with 292 inches of snowfall. Spring skiing is kicking off strong with 7” of new snow in the past 24 hours and more snow in the forecast. The season in Crested Butte closes on April 2, 2023.
Make the most of this fantastic season and come to Crested Butte for some spring skiing and catch some of their events planned for the next few days:
Ski Town Breakdown Presented by MTN Dew
Crested Butte Mountain Resort brought back its Ski Town Breakdown concert series, presented this year by MTN Dew, and there is one more concert scheduled. This past Saturday, the Tyler Hansen Band entertained folks at Paradise Warming House at the last of our three ‘unplugged’ concerts. This Saturday will feature the big Base Bash at Butte 66 from 2-5 p.m. The event will include swag giveaways, beverage sampling, and some tunes by reggae-rock group Luna Shade.
Treasure Hunt
Crested Butte Mountain Resort is partnering with local ski company Romp to give away custom skis to lucky guests at the resort. Their partners at Bud Light are sponsoring a series of on-mountain treasure hunts, with the third and final one this coming Saturday, March 25, 2023. The winner receives a pair of custom skis from Romp, Bud Light swag, and other fun prizes. Guests must stay tuned to Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s Instagram stories on Saturday morning for clues about where to look. Solve the clues and find the hidden trail sign for your chance to win a fantastic prize pack.
Pond Skim
Lastly, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will host their annual Pond Skim on April Fool’s Day, April 1, 2023. Registration will open in the coming days. All proceeds benefit Crested Butte State of Mind.
