Snowbird Resort in Utah has announced an exciting new program that makes skiing and snowboarding more accessible and enjoyable for the youth, paving a bright future for the ski and snowboard industry. With the introduction of the Kids Freeloader Pass for the 2024–25 season, Snowbird is not only breaking down financial barriers but also incentivizing the younger generation to explore the mountains. This initiative allows any youth up to age 18 to receive a free, unlimited season pass with the purchase of a qualifying adult, senior, or military Summit or Alta-Bird pass.

Each adult, senior, and military summit, as well as Alta-Bird pass holders, are entitled to one Kids Freeloader Pass per season pass purchased, valid exclusively at Snowbird. This pass can be given to anyone under the age of 18 at the time the adult pass is bought. Renewing pass holders from the 2023–24 season can enjoy the convenience of having their 2024–25 pass automatically added to their existing season pass card, simplifying the process for previous pass holders. People who just bought a pass or need a new one can easily exchange it at the pick-up boxes located around the Snowbird Center, Creekside Lodge, and Cliff Lodge. The Kids Freeloader Pass is packed with benefits, starting with free spring skiing at Snowbird starting April 10, 2024, which makes for plenty of days of great skiing as Snowbird plans to stay open until Memorial Day weekend, conditions permitting. The pass also grants UTA Ski Bus access for the 2024–25 winter season, along with a 50% discount on five Friends & Family tickets.
