Vermont’s Killington Resort, the largest ski and snowboard resort in Eastern North America and part of POWDR – an adventure lifestyle company – celebrates International Women’s Day all March long with a women-specific camp and two new female-centric events.

On March 2-3, women have the chance to learn from Olypic gold medalist and world champion mogul skier, Donna Weinbrecht, and Killington Resort’s top PSIA certified female coaches at our premier Women’s Camp. This unforgettable learning experience for intermediate and above level skiers includes two days of coaching, lunch, giveaways and more.

Then, on International Women’s Day on March 8, 2024, The Beast will host a women-led event for telemarkers, skiers, and snowboarders of all levels. Get the Girls Out! will be a day filled with group rides focusing on different aspects of skiing and riding at the mountain, all followed by an après party featuring music and raffle prizes. We welcome all women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people to participate in this event.

Get the Girls Out! is part of a national campaign by SheJumps to unite women as they support, challenge, mentor, and inspire each other in the outdoor sports world. Events are held near International Women’s Day (annually on March 8) and cultivate communities for women to have fun and connect with friends–new and old. These events also create opportunities for women to share and inspire and ensures younger generations have the opportunity to storm mountains and develop the life skills necessary to succeed on the mountains and in life. Event participation is free, however guests must supply their own lift ticket. An optional donation of $5 enters you to win prizes in the raffle. Register here.

Then on March 30, 2024, Killington Resort will host Love Your Peaks, a breast cancer prevention event series and fundraising campaign organized by Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC). Love Your Peaks is a fundraising campaign in support of breast cancer awareness and prevention at resorts nationwide. Participants can come to Killington to get on board and dedicate their day outside in support of B4BC’s mission of a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention, while raising funds for B4BC’s education, prevention and survivorship programs. To participate, simply register, fundraise, ride, and post. Registration is now open.
