Kirkwood this weekend was pretty darn good. The resort under reported how much snow they received again saying they only received 6″ of snow. While waiting in line for chair 6 before the lifts opened, one of the mountain hosts came down from above and proceeded to tell all the customers in line what the plan was for opening the mountain for the day.
He also told us there was over a foot of fresh up top. It was very nice to see the mountain being completely transparent about their opening operations unlike some resorts around Tahoe…
