Squaw and Alpine reported 1-3″ of new snow overnight and it has been snowing wet snow on the mountain today.
It appears to be raining at the base of Squaw right now and the current temperature at the base is 37ยบF.
We’ve got our fingers crossed for it to get colder tonight and snow a bunch more.
NOAA is currently forecasting a low temperature tonight of 27ยบF with 3-7″ of snow forecast.
Squaw Valley just announced today that they will stay open until the 7th of July this season.
Shocking news
Lightning is quite common during winter storms in Tahoe.
Actually, it’s not.
